Aaaaaaaand just like that. My favorite holiday is over.
I guess it’s ok though. My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th favorites are right around the corner. #Thanksgiving #Christmas #MardiGras Amiright?!
This Halloween was pretty jam packed.
I decided on Monday that I would run a 5k on Saturday. I have no idea why. My mom is big into running so I thought it would be a fun thing to do together. I wasn’t wrong, but MAN was it a challenge. And being the stubborn person that I am, I decided to be one of the people who ran carrying a pumpkin. I made it though! I’m not going to lie and say I ran the whole time, because I totally didn’t. But I made it the whole way with my pumpkin! I DIDN’T DIE! I have a super cool medal to prove it!
We decided to be snails. Cause we’re slow. Well I am anyway.
After the 5k, you would think I would be done with the activity for the day. And you would be wrong. A few month’s back we signed up as a bike group for the Halloween Parade. A lot of the kids in the area were using this as their trick or treating because of the flood, so it was a cool thing to get to do. Plus we dressed up as candy corn, which just makes everything better.
Felt is hot, yall.
Our group was chosen as the #1 group for the WHOLE PARADE! We didn’t even know they were judging us! So awesome.
Saturday night was pretty low key. Drinks and live music with friends, in costume of course. This year’s costume was Wednesday Addams (which if you follow me on Instagram, you already know). I found the perfect dress at Plasticland and the necklace… too amazing for words. The woman who makes them is a crazy talented artist and has her own Etsy shop for these necklaces. (No… its not a real skull.)
I also got a delivery from Girrlscout, which has nothing to do with Halloween. I’m just completely obsessed with my new stuff and with the girl behind it. Check out her store here or just go stop by her blog. I just recently stumbled across her on Instagram and already she’s at the top of my girl crush list. (It’s ok to have a list right…..) She’s inspirational and hilarious and it’s just really cool to see someone building their dream one step at a time.
So that was my Halloween weekend! Halloween day was spent on the couch with Stephen King’s IT and a bottle of wine. The perfect ending to the perfect holiday.
What did everyone else do to celebrate? Which holiday are you looking forward to next?
